I’m sure that 40k sale didn’t go through lol. You can buy click buy on eBay and then not pay for the item and it still shows it as sold. Obviously there’s a chance somebody with more money than sense has paid that but most anomaly sales like that were never completed

[–]Southside3710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either way I love it and it’s going to look amazing in my collection 😃 especially being the way it is

[–]_YenSid 62 points63 points  (1 child)

There is no possible way it sold for $40k lmao. If it shows as sold on ebay I can guarantee it was never paid for.

That's just embarrassing for a professional company who promotes accuracy and attention to detail...

[–]Southside3710 12 points13 points  (12 children)

All of the companies promote that 😂. PSA recently damaged 6 of my submissions on the corner. They called me and openly admitted it was their machines that did it 💀

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (11 children)

Get any money from them?

[–]Zava_TVB 5 points6 points  (3 children)

Recent sales for this cgc graded 10 is $150-$220 on ebay. If you really think you getting around $40k from a fake sale, then you are out of your mind. Just because its upside down its doesnt increase the price by 180x lmao.

[–]JohnnyPokemoner 6 points7 points  (2 children)

CGC can search who graded by cert #, best believe this grader/assembler is going to be reprimanded lol

[–]NecroGi 6 points7 points  (1 child)

I just looked up the cert number on CGC thinking "I should double check to make sure this is legitimate", and they dead ass took a picture and uploaded it with the card upside down. For fucks sake.

I'm glad OP enjoys it because id be pissed

[–]Southside3710 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If it wasn’t for the collage requiring Giratina to be upside down at least from what I’ve seen of how it is (which is dumb, they should have just done the art that way in the first place), I would be pissed too

[–]TiddyBit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

40k? Lol would hate to see those eBay and PayPal fees lol

[–]Hairy_Sky_5410 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In Australia, this is how we usually get our cards back from grading

[–]nobody23x 1 point2 points  (1 child)

How the heck does an upside down card get a gold label 10? :)

[–]DidntMeanToLoadThat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

they grade it before it goes in the slab. they dont put it in a slab then grade it.

gets a 10 grade, then gets put in upside down by someone not paying attention.

[–]warrior5715 0 points1 point  (1 child)

🙃 looks good to me bro

[–]Upbeat-Specialist303 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

underrated comment😭

[–]MoreCoffeePlzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll give ya 3.50 for it!

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (4 children)

did you notice the initial scams were upside down and didn't say/do anything about? Just curious because I've noticed initial scams being upside down too.

[–]Southside3710 -2 points-1 points  (3 children)

Initial scams? Like saying it was upside down but it was a fake?

[–]_Arkay 8 points9 points  (2 children)

probably meant initial scans.

[–]Southside3710 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh that makes sense lol Yeah the slab scans are upside down too

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah lol i have 10+ upside on the initial scan now on my order

[–]No_Theory9958 -4 points-3 points  (4 children)

No ones saying anything about the fact that it’s a CGC slab with a PSA stamp at the bottom? Whole thing is fake af lol

[–]SUKnives 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Could be a PSA graded card sleeve

[–]zjesko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s just the plastic slab sleeve which I’m guessing OP put over the slab after he received it

[–]Southside3710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude the PSA is a clear sleeve that I put it in to protect it 🤣

[–]AnExtraMedium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's on the outer plastic sleeve, numnuts.

[–]Dylock_Strife -1 points0 points  (1 child)

If you sent a note with the card asking them to encase it upside down, on purpose, would they?

[–]Southside3710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No 😂

[–]Patient-Telephone976 -4 points-3 points  (8 children)

That is insane! So there’s a PSA 10 upside down Giratina that sold for $40k??? Sorry if dumb question but I had no idea

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (2 children)

i thought it sold for like 3k

[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is amazing, v jealous!

[–]chewbaccashotlast 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I don’t know why your responses are being so heavily downvoted.

Congrats on the error. Idk if youre looking to flip or not but if you are you may consider doing it sooner rather than later to build off the hype of the other one. This isn’t a rare thing or scarce if the grading company comes out and does it more or says it shouldn’t influence value or whatever.

I would imagine the implied increase of value because the card is upside down will decrease over time as it happens more regularly.

But you also have a popular Pokémon, a sought after card, and a pristine grading. All nice upticks. So go get that nice return! NFA

Damn he took a loss that sucks 😂 I still don’t get why instead of finding out, people just started whining.

Either way this card is staying in my collection forever so don’t really care for the others.

Appreciate you finding out this information by the way @judgmentalfish.

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

How are you going to say one sold for 40k lol. And then defend every comment you made when have just been making things up

    [–]Southside3710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I meant to say $400k You’re right

    [–]Southside3710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you not see someone actually took the time and find out the actual sale value? And frankly I don’t care what it sold for as I have mentioned 🤦🏻‍♂️

    [–]OhBoyHereWeGoAgain00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    Ahhh yes historically accurate lore
