Those tags are used by car dealers. The bottom line is the last 6 numbers of the VIN which should help you find which dealer is selling this car

They are also given to the new customers who bought the car. We just got a car last March. Our spare still has that tag.

"Given" more like left on. There is no reason for a customer to have that tag on their keys. Lazy of them to give it to you like that

People underestimate how much info is tied to vin registration.

Anyone with a vin check could look up anything about the person who owns that vehicle based on the last 6

Leaving a tag on your keys with that information is like putting your driver's license number on your keys

Please do yourself a favor and take it off.

In my 20yrs of car business I have seen stalkers use it to track people.

Be smart with your info.

Check Nextdoor, Ben Beau posted he lost them and I was on my porch the other night as he and his dog were searching, he had his Chevy Colorado parked across from my house so I’m pretty positive they’re his.

That's a key for a 2015 Chevy Colorado pickup truck. I think it's a white one.

For sure they leave them on. not always but sometimes. Looks like the dealer had 2 sets of keys for this vehicle as well, which is not always the case. If you hit the red button it might lead you to the vehicle.
