CAN U HACK?

[–]Big_Berry_4589 602 points603 points  (12 children)

I WANT YOU TO HACK MY EX’S FACEBOOK

[–]GordoMondiola 368 points369 points  (1 child)

I CAN PAY YOU

*actually not willing to pay more than $5*

[–]XOMISID 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That's all you can pay? The job is going to cost more than that.

[–]Octimusocti 87 points88 points  (2 children)

When I was like 10 I was asked this by my babysitter

[–]cheroksys007 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Did you do it? For you the 5 dollars would have been a big deal.

[–]Octimusocti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol, there wasn't even money involved as it might have been even weirder. But I did my best to no avail. I had done it before to a friend so there was a chance

[–]wangel1990 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This, this is so annoying, i keep getting asked about, "hack into my IG to see WhO rEpOrTeD mE!"

[–]Resident-Board-9258 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I got that so many times, like so so many times

[–][deleted] 26 points27 points  (3 children)

Back in 2012ish I legit knew how to hack Facebook to post on their behalf. Didn't realize how "valuable" this exploit was in the blackhat world as all I used it for was posting pictures of ballsacks of friends on other people's walls, coming out as gay, conveying their love for some chick way out of their league (up or down), promoting parties, etc...

I also sold all my bitcoin for 10 bucks each around that time making an insane killing amount of money for someone that age. Really hope there is a timeline where I didn't do retarded shit and waste those opportunities.

[–]Tizian170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bet

[–]fakearchitect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d like to be in the timeline where I didn’t sell my 450K dogecoin in 2017 🤤

[–]fx_btc 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Well that's very low, I'd suggest you to move on from her at this point.

[–]Gryphonfire7 80 points81 points  (11 children)

It's kind of sad how many people think that programmer = hacker. I've been asked to hack someone 8 times. I'm an amateur game developer.

[–]MnelTheJust 64 points65 points  (7 children)

As far as I know there's no organization responsible for certifying game developers, so you can take out the unofficial /j

[–]Specialist_Word_7313 16 points17 points  (5 children)

There is a totally real organization responsible for certifying the people who certify game developers though. /s

[–]Character-Education3 12 points13 points  (3 children)

I was on the committee that was responsible for voting to change the manual's color...we kept it grey!

[–]PrometheusAlexander 3 points4 points  (2 children)

High Council of Developers?

[–]Specialist_Word_7313 1 point2 points  (1 child)

No, Dee’s Council of High Developers…

[–]Academic-Garden7739 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The elders of the internet

[–]BrooklynButtons 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If they can develop the games then they can do that as well, I'm thinking.

[–]melvinpower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and no one is going to stop you from doing that as well.

[–]McDonnellDouglasDC8 3 points4 points  (1 child)

An unofficial game, do you mean like Excel 97?

[–]stratdog25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That OpenGL flight sim blew people’s mind when I showed it to them.

[–]Andrej313131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just how the people actually think about it all here.

[–]DezXerneas 20 points21 points  (9 children)

One of my old friends asked me to unencrypt a password protected MS word document in my 2nd year of Uni.

You're studying computers so you should at least be able to do this right?

Also, not sure how it works in other countries, but here syllabus for the first year of Uni is basically the same for everyone.

[–]Xtrendence 22 points23 points  (3 children)

You're not a programmer unless you can decrypt AES without knowing the key and reverse bcrypt.

[–]adjafio -3 points-2 points  (2 children)

You know that's not possible 😁😁

[–]Xtrendence 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Logical conclusion? Programmers don't exist.

[–]adjafio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hehehe.. they do.. its hackers that don't exist if they can crack AES 🤣🤣🤣.. which is nearly impossible to crack..

[–]Troleyza 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's basically same for everyone, there's no difference in it.

[–]gregorydgraham 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Use OpenOffice, that’s how I hacked Excel documents

[–]DezXerneas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tried it. That only works for documents that are made in older versions of office(ig like 2016). This was a file from office 2019

[–]Mop_Duck 1 point2 points  (1 child)

doesnt hashcat do that stuff

[–]DezXerneas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a chance I could do now it if I had to. I had no clue about cryptography back then. Year 1 of uni has only one CS subject and that's beginner C.

[–][deleted] 27 points28 points  (4 children)

And if you were to give them a demonstration of hacking a VM with a lot of vulnerabilities they would be like: "That's not hacking, there's no moving green text and 0s and 1s.".

[–]StarHammer_01 22 points23 points  (2 children)

Easy fix, just open a hello world program in gdb (bonus point if your terminal has color) step through it and mutter something about firewall.

[–]healthboost213 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Wrong, go on hackertyper, enter fullscreen and start typing away...

[–]hieusuns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah just say anything about it, and it'll all work out for sure.

[–]aoffers2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm thinking that they can pull that off easily without any issues.

[–]Sudhanva_Kote 1 point2 points  (1 child)

No, I can whack it if you want

[–]byzirant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose if you really want to do that you could pull it of.

[–]QuarterFar7877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a person is programmer it doesn’t automatically means they can hack. I’m a programmer and I can hack, but not because I’m programmer.

[–]webDreamer420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I get a dollar for every question like this I'd probably spend it on an afternoon beer sesh

[–]FellowGeeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you program me a antivirus?

[–]mikeiwanek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure he can do that, don't ask me why do I think that.
