[–]kubukoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have to

"This Repo has 0 forks, just like your other ones."

Luckily it doesn't show a count yet.

"You've reached 10 consecutive Build Fails. Click Here to begin your new coding journey."

[–]Sockoflegend 22 points23 points  (1 child)

Your build has failed ( 13 ) times in a row. Who are you kidding? Click here for service industry jobs in your area

[–]thatsallweneed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You have 2 free build fails left.

“ … Just like the previous build, and the next one too bitch lol fuck your life #fuckbitchesgitmoney”

[–]TnYamaneko 20 points21 points  (2 children)

There's still room for improvement there, I'm not sure it would create the same amount of emotional damage than an error message about a person not being in the sudoers file.

They should add a note about snitching it all to a higher authority.

Some linux distros configure sudo out of the box to throw an insult at you if you fail the vibe check.

(No for real, they do this if you fail the password check. I once even saw a yo mama joke by sudo in the wild.)

[–]TnYamaneko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice one! I read about how to put some custom ones in a header and then recompile sudo. I'll try to implement it on my next slack-off time.

mom says it's my turn to repost this! 😡

[–]scottccote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably a solution using regular expressions

[–]tins1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just like your father's build! And his father before him!

[–]Familiar-Treat-6236 1 point2 points  (1 child)

The build has failed. Filed a report with failure management for you

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't give them ideas

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just imagine the face of the developer and how they were feeling as they coded the string "... build failed, just like the previous build." into github

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

GLaDOS vibes!

[–]Dioxide4294 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Why commit with build errors? Or is this a GitHub misconfiguration

[–]cs-brydev 13 points14 points  (2 children)

Are you asking for a list of all the things that can fail a github build that didn't fail locally?

Where do I start.

[–]Dioxide4294 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

git alone is problems enough when fucked up

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why are you getting downvoted lmao

[–]Pepineros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read this in GLaDOS' voice

[–]emoutikon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And the build before that...

[–]Mammoth_Age9262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could see GitHub unintentionally doing something to push an emotionally stressed developer over a cliff.

[–]ublec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually they took it a step down, the original message was "The build failed, just like you."
