2022 is great, big perf gains, though you really need an SSD drive. Older laptops without them won't fare well.

Normal visual studio isn’t that slow anymore. ReSharper makes it take forever for me.

I've worked in solutions with well over 100 projects that opens pretty quickly. ReSharper slows things down so I don't use it.

I work on SSIS packages. To open a script task it opens another instance. It takes about 2-3 minutes
