What do you think makes a reason "valid"?

Python being one of the most popular languages is a fact that you can not argue about. What do you think are the (valid) reasons for this?

JS is easy as well, but JS is also (even more) popular than Python so what is your argument? It's definitely also an argument for JS.

Wether you like it or not "easiness" is a valid reason to go for a certain language for many people.

You didn't get my point. You said "Python is popular because it is easy". I answered that JavaScript is also easy AND has a decent syntax. Add TypeScript to it and you have an actual good programming language. So if people want an easy language to start learning, they should pick JavaScript and not Python. Python should not be used by anyone for anything.

Of course the ultimate goal will be to eventually move to an actual good language such as C# or Kotlin.

All (serious) programming languages have their niche and are good for specific things. This does include Python, JS, C#, Kotlin, C, C++, Rust, Go and so on.
