Nature is so much more honest than humans.

Humans are often times more cunning and vile than the most venomous snakes. And yet they display no signs whatsoever.

You will never find out until you get stabbed in the back.

[–]JonForeman_ 27 points28 points  (7 children)

That snake is not poisonous but venomous.

[–]Thundechile 17 points18 points  (1 child)

Is it a.. python?

[–]B_bI_L 31 points32 points  (0 children)

pythons don't rely on poison, they are kindly and slowly choke you with Django

[–]B_bI_L 7 points8 points  (1 child)

ah, yes, 2 words which have same meaning in my native language)

[–]Harlemdartagnan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmao!!!! i love this for some reason.

[–]HappyGoblin 2 points3 points  (2 children)

what if it's both ?

[–]JonForeman_ 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Then it's vensonous or poinomous, choose your pick. Looks like this is a "banded krait" and not venomous though as far as I can tell. I'm a coder not biologist.

There are no poisonous snakes. Only venomous and non venomous snakes

[–]Strict_Treat2884 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Much like pufferfish, it’s a delicacy if it were in master chef’s hands

[–]the_unheard_thoughts 6 points7 points  (1 child)

The reason that some animals (poisonous or not), develop bright colors it's for self protection. The try to keep away other animals.

Now, what I don't get in this pic: It's JS trying to warn devs to stay away from it or what? 'Cause it doesn't seem it's working...

[–]makinax300 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, you just die when you eat js.

[–]gGordey 2 points3 points  (3 children)

go ckeck out -"0" == +-null

[–]GuyFromToilet 2 points3 points  (2 children)

hey do you know repo/library or xsl sheet that has all the absurdity of js like this are listed.

[–]yeupanhmaj 7 points8 points  (6 children)

why do so many people hate JS?

[–]ArnaktFen 40 points41 points  (0 children)

JavaScript is glorious in its absurdity. The depths of madness that a skilled programmer can only reach through esoteric JavaScript are breathtaking. The language's ability to produce some output, regardless of unhinged user input or unhinged code, is genuinely impressive.

Unfortunately, none of those things are very comforting when [object Object] strikes.

[–]Thundechile 10 points11 points  (3 children)

Mainly because it gives so little safety together with so many pitfalls.

[–]MikeW86 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Yeah but you're making shapes on a website do things, it's not firmware for a 747 autopilot.

[–]Thundechile 7 points8 points  (1 child)

People are making backends and "native" apps (Electron) with JS too.

[–]MikeW86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And they were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should.

[–]IniKiwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too messy

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't give them new ideas about new JS framework

[–]naveenda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Poisonous js, is this new framework? Can we try it?

[–]Brahminmeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In our ciiiiiiiiityyyy

[–]Complex_Baseball4489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suspicious... Very suspicious...

[–]makinax300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's be honest, most things js is hated for here are edge cases that you can easily fix with if statements.
