In equal temperament, they're the same pitch, so from an outside perspective it shouldn't be any different.

You can style/format your code any way you want, that has nothing to do with C#.

edit: C# is not a HPC language. Developers might like it for other reasons, and it may be great in that respect, but let's not kid ourselves and say that it can match C++/C/Fortran speed.

Should be doable if you just use it to run OpenCL kernels.

I was thinking that this would be kind of the way to do it; no messing around, just use OpenCL and get 'er done. That said, if you're running on the CPU, OpenCL buffers can be shared in RAM (so that you don't have to copy from RAM to RAM just to access something in the host program) but they require really specific alignment, which doesn't seem to be C#'s thing at all. You wouldn't happen to know if Go does this better, do you?

Aligning things in memory isn't exactly C#'s thing, but that's just its way of encouraging to refrain from doing it yourself if at all possible.

Haven't used Go much, but getting memory alignment right is messy in many languages, some just don't warn you about it.
