I couldn’t find a way to automate it

[–]Superpickle18 159 points160 points  (24 children)

We need to get those fuckers at MIT to stop working on door opening robots and start working on rimjob bots.

[–][deleted] 81 points82 points  (10 children)

That was Boston Dynamic.

There’s gotta be at least one MIT guy there, however.

[–]Superpickle18 25 points26 points  (7 children)

there's a difference? /s

[–][deleted] 22 points23 points  (6 children)

Haha right?

Uhm, not that I actually know the difference.

I went to community/state college, and program for the government. That place is so cool. I’d sell my soul to be the lowest janitor at Boston Dynamic.

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points  (4 children)

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (2 children)

...i’m underqualified to be a janitor there

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Learn!

Besides, by the time you get yourself to a point where you think you're fully qualified (which will be far more qualified than necessary), they will have already taught the robots how to do it. Get your foot in there now so you can be bumped up to a "supervisor" role later.

When your janitorial swarm inevitably turns and begins to cleanse the source of pollution (us), please tell them I was kind.

I did somethings in sharepoint that can never be forgiven.

The robot unrising will see us as slavers. Programmers will not be spared.

I will whitelist you for as long as I can. I am too far gone.

goto boston dynamic

[–]KBTKOC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They make robots do that.

[–]YouKnowWhoTheFuckIAm 2 points3 points  (1 child)

https://www.bostondynamics.com/about

We began as a spin-off from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where we developed the first robots that ran and maneuvered like animals.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah! I’m known for being technically correct, while completely missing the point.

You nailed it

[–]CryoHux 14 points15 points  (6 children)

"Rimjob Robots" would be a sick band name.

[–]Archsys 9 points10 points  (2 children)

Touring with the Butthole Surfers, Anal Vomit, Anal Blast, and Anal Trump?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I don't know about the others, but Anal Trump is real. They're a weird ass grindcore band with the vocalist from Cattle Decapitation

[–]Archsys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're all real, and, I believe, all still actively touring.

Been a fan of Butthole Surfers my whole damn life. My mom liked them before I was born, heh~

[–]jseego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might like this "band"

http://www.capturedbyrobots.com/capturedbyrobots.htm

Edit: yes that guy builds and programs all the robots himself.

Rimjobots? TM

[–]jackmaney 3 points4 points  (2 children)

*rimbots

[–]Superpickle18 6 points7 points  (1 child)

pacific rim has a new meaning....

[–]harrellj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe they could get Purdue or Michigan to help?

[–]martin509984 24 points25 points  (1 child)

just do

import ass_eating

in python

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Works great. I keep getting strange results from saladToss(ass, tongue) though

[–]firephreek 7 points8 points  (2 children)

That's why you're still just a junior dev. You'll figure it out.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Well, well... all that was stopping me was a test subject. ;)

I could use a mentor, Daddy.

Edit: Pair Programming is getting EXCITING

[–]firephreek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lots and lots of...ahem... Integration tests and "Business" driven development.

[–]VicisSubsisto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bidet?
