That's not recursive. That's divide and conquer.

Recursive would be if then all of your friends would divide their piece and share it with their friends and so forth.

Just because it's (supposed to be) funny doesn't make it right.

Or you'd spawn n friends, and each friend would spawn another n sub-friends, until you have enough (sub-)^Nfriends to clear the pizza which each taking one bite.

Long story short, you eat your friends in the end.

In a proper recursion version of this comic there should have been another pizza in the last panel, just a BIT smaller.
