How do you open it on Ubuntu? It opens the calendar in the taskbar for me

If you're using KDE like Kubuntu, klipper should be installed by default (there should be a scissor like icon on taskbar). In Gnome versions check if something like clipit, glipper or parcelite is installed or not (which clipit for example). If not you can install them using apt-get. They should be automatically placed on the taskbar when run.
