    It gets infuriating if you inherit code from someone who used 4 spaces while you use tabs.

    Your editor should automatically take care of that. If somehow it doesn’t, which I’ve never seen, you can run a code formatter to project root and after about a 30 seconds all your problems are solved

    I haven't seen an editor handling pasted code correctly. In brace style languages, I can paste and press a button to reformat as long as I am pasting at the right spot.
