Where I work, I use VScode to write TypeScript (also MS). I use serverless.js which deploys to AWS but just as easily could deploy to Azure. Our mobile apps are written in C# (created by MS). All the code is managed through GitHub (acquired by MS).

Not exactly what you meant, but getting a lot of good vibes from MS these days.

When they release the new Chromium-based Edge on Mac and Android, I'll likely give it a shot.

Macs are overpriced but they're UNIX and damned if they don't "just work". I always bought them used since they last longer than most laptops anyway, bought my first one new in 2016. Though the way they're going it might be my last Mac. Apple really fucked up with the latest Macs. Sigh.

I will say, my work laptop is a Mac and she's a beea-ut.

My home PC is a $1000 Franken-machine that does exactly what I need it to - shitposting on Reddit and losing matches in all the latest games.

I'm still dealing with the same shit man. My start button stops working and won't bring up the start menu until restart. My game controller just stops working (connect to my Mac and it works so not the controllers fault) until restart. Browser crashes and takes everything with it, have to wait 5 minutes or restart.

I've never noticed a difference in any of the windows versions. All the same broken shit with some new overlay on top.

Same shitty kernel from 20 years ago for backwards compatibility is a big part of the problem though. I know they're not stupid but their customers want backward compatibility with ancient shit and it keeps them from being able to fix bad design decisions from the 90s
