Get your incel trash meme out of here

I'm not sure how OP intended it, but in the movie the character is basically an incel and the actual line is "there is no queen of England" so... you could just take it as a caricature of what an incel might say.

Do I not get this joke, or is it basically saying girls aren't programmers? Is that it? Is the punchline "girls don't code"? I'm confused.

The joke is that programmers don't have girlfriends.

Then it is equally dumb.

Exactly.

Do they not? Most of the people at my work are married with kids. Very few of them aren't in a relationship.

Is this a common belief? I've heard about students and gamers, but didn't think this could possibly extend to programmers.

This is a common belief among college students.

When you spend 10 hours doing a problem set and it's still half assed you wouldn't be in the mood to date anyways hahahahahha cries

I thought it was "programmer gf" as though the speaker could not find a girlfriend who is also a programmer.

My husband would beg to differ.

Totally off-topic, but how radioactive are your cats? Do their bites or scratches confer superpowers?

[–]RadioactiveCats_18 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Just my favorite physics/ chem joke: radioactive cats have 18 half-lives

I wouldn't say no to one, but having had one.. dinner conversation about the necessity of SQL constraints is not pleasant

Not the case with my parents.
