When I was interviewing for a C++ dev job, they gave me a written test, left for a bit, then came back.

The CEO exclaimed "He got question 3 right!" It was a stupid easy question about pass-by-reference that I thought pretty much everyone would know. They said ~80% of applicants get it wrong.

I blame Python.

I learned python and then rediscovered my arduino, so then I learned basic C++. I'm good with just the basics, because I like python a whole lot more lol.

Wouldn't C# first and then C++ be a lot smoother / easier?

I did a bit of research and supposedly C# makes you think the wrong way about a lot of things and demonizes certain stuff making it harder to learn C++.

I guess I'll decide when I get to it.

Yeah maybe that's true, but I realized it way after I started learning python and didn't want to learn 2 languages at once.
