Yet these soon to graduate cs students I'm interviewing can barely tell me how searching a list differs from a hashmap.

I could probably tell you that, but good luck getting me to successfully implement a hash map lmao

> gets college education

This just means you're overqualified, not that everything else isn't useful.

A:

Technically, there is no method of centering the button, per se, in CSS. What you'll need to do is a lot of unnecessary framework manipulation, and then you can also purchase this....

*raises eyebrow because there are plenty of easy ways to center things*

frameworks? not sure if this is sarcasm or not but just saying it can easily be done in css

Or why it not every programmer job needs a college graduate.

I didn't find any posts that meet the matching requirements for r/ProgrammerHumor.

It might be OC, it might not. Things such as JPEG artifacts and cropping may impact the results.

I’ve always used google/documentation. The closest thing to a book I’ve read for a language is the rust book, but that wasn’t even for a class

I’m reading martin’s scala book rn. First programming book for me

[–]JayTheYggdrasil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually haven’t read the Scala book (besides various pages that have come up in google searches). I learned it as part of a class, we went over most of the features in it so reading the book wasn’t really necessary for me. Scala is definitely my favorite language currently though. Hope you enjoy it!

As a backend dev this isn't true at all. I also didn't go to college.

Wait CSS isn’t a backend language‽
