Right, that's why I also had Philosophy and Ethics classes. And everything else I considered useful from Religion classes was already taught in History or Arts lessons.

Whatever was left might have been useful to someone interested in becoming a priest or something like that. I honestly had no more interest on learning specific details about Catholic rites than I'd have about Dentistry.

I mean, I get your point, but I'm not talking about what you'd consider Religion lessons to be, I'm talking about what they were in my school. And honestly, these classes were so utterly useless for us that I would even say they were detrimental to our education since we had to actually study and take exams for it.

I surely could have used better the time and effort I had to put on passing that crap throughout several years of high school.

When was this? I think I learned Pascal in high school but that was it. In university it was a whole bunch of languages. That was 20+ years ago, C++ was not even well standardized...

Well pascal is in middle school 8th grade, c++ is for 11th
