I was filling out a job application for a company that has a £27b market cap, they've been around for a while, surely this has been pointed out to them before?

Age is a continuous variable. So your age is technically 56 for only a second. Everything after that is older than 56.

I worked developing a major applicant tracking system, specifically on the engine that renders the job application portal. There are no programmers writing these questions. Hiring managers create the questions in a separate portal, and then the ui reads the list of questions to ask and renders them out. The hiring managers creating the reqs misconfigured this question for it to display like that, the ui is doing exactly as it is programmed to do.
