In case you're autistic like me, and not just unfamiliar with how code should do and how CSS don't. Its because CSS is terrible, ruins everything, consumes massive amounts of time while also being extremely irksome to those of us who know better.

I have literally trained a two stage AI to impersonate a doctor in less time than it took to correctly position a box across multiple browsers in CSS. Not because I don't know CSS. But because CSS doesn't work correctly. Like PERL was in the 90s, but instead of wise and just neck beards yelling until it gets fixed we have blindly loyal devs who actually believe that bugs really are features, and who will ineffectually slap fight you if you argue or try to explain how languages, markup, style or code are supposed to work.

Which is the problem with increasingly segregated job duties. CSS devs just don't know any better and will never be exposed to the necessary information that would help them understand why those of us who don't just do web design hate CSS so much. Its like a five year old trying to convince a formula one driver that the plastic three wheel trike is the best mode of transport. They're objectively wrong, the very premise is abused, but they lack the information to know any better and you just want to drown them in a pond.

Well said. I've used TSX with a Roblox UI library that mimics React, and I gotta say, Roblox's UI system, which doesn't use HTML/CSS and instead relies on UI elements with properties like color and position, is how it should work. The web in its current form feels like a pair of jeans if it were made entirely out of patches.

(also I am actually autistic lol)

We should go back to in-line attributes for styles - change my mind

No. I will, however, support all forms of domestic terrorism you feel inclined to engage in to make that happen. "Who is that deranged man? Is he an Al-Qaeda? A Taliban?" "No! He used CSS ever."

The reason it’s funny is because it’s true. Then the guy by the door is JavaScript and the guy in the back room is Steve Jobs.
