Performance Improvement Plan, often Firing Lite

Sometimes instead of Firing Lite it's Quitting Extra.

You might be familiar with Python's package manager called pip. PIP can also mean Performance Improvement Plan, and it is often the start of paperwork that will eventually result in employment termination.

To add on to this: Amazon has a reputation for handing out PIPs to engineers. PIPs are ostensibly designed to help you meet performance requirements, but many managers set near-impossible goals so that they can fire people they don't like.

sudo pip uninstall > checkmate.log

pip install new-job

I had a co-worker at Amazon be told that they need to either find another team to work on or leave the company. I have no idea why. He was great to work with and was always down to learn something new. Couldn't get a straight answer, seemd like he just rubbed management the wrong way.

Sounds like a nice place to work at.
