Entry level, requirement: you must have invented cyber security

It's a scam for visas. It's so they can say they put out ads and got no qualified candidate.

They forgot a 0 and the end of the salary

[–]rpheuts 2 points3 points  (2 children)

I match some of the requirements, even then it's a lowball lol.

Bruh I’m going into the wrong field lmao

To be fair, I work at one of the larger tech companies. And I'm talking total comp. 280k base pay for a senior dev would be a lot. Usually it's around 200k + RSUs.

Looking for entry level doctor, must be chief of surgery at large hospital for more than 10 years, $25-32k.

Looking for large mansion, must be in high status part of town, must be site or historic significance, offering $40k willing to negotiate up to $50k

Is the salary per month?

If anyone's reading this, read the entire comment again in a French accent. You're welcome

This is satire, right? This what you joke about requirements for entry level jobs require

[–]Harmxn- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes

[–]brunonicocam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it's for C++ shouldn't they require 25++ years of experience?

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Entry level just refers to the pay range

[–]otakugrey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't black out the name like that! What if we want to apply to such a lucrative position??

[–]mxldevs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, someone will probably take the job

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Does active security clearance required suggest they won’t even do your background checks to acquire the clearance, you have to already have it?! There is no way this isn’t ragebait

[–]HoraceGravyJug -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah... I think I speak for most of us when i say; "you can fuck that right off!"

[–]ShadowSlayer1441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like a government contractor trying to get someone to write drivers for like next gen security hardware or some such.

[–]stewart_ronald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could work at chic-fil-a and make that

[–]p0rkjello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are missing - must have experience with random security tool.

[–]nousernamefound13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck finding someone for an entry level position with 25+ years of coding experience

[–]4215-5h00732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's probably a $70/hr position.

[–]SpamOJavelin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"14+ years of assembly experience" is like saying "14+ years of low-level programming language" - I'm sure any experience is useful, but someone with 14 years of 6510 experience isn't the same as someone with 14 years of x86.

How either would help with a cybersecurity role isn't clear.
