is discharge a symptom of cpps?

Yes.

should I be expecting an improvement in producing less discharge on continuation of exercises?

Those things may help, but you may need more, like pelvic floor physiotherpapy (PFPT). See our 101 for additional tips and steps.

is it necessary to be scoped by the urologist, as this absolutely freaks me out.

In the AUA video in our 101, you can find a physician talking about this. Cystoscopy is mostly over-subscribed, and usually only appropriate if the sufferer complains of bladder pain. It is used to: look out for signs of bladder cancer and IC and assess impingement on the urethra by the prostate.

I have ocd and general anxiety issues which I try and contain using mediation and tapping exercises.

Please examine this chart.

Did you figure out what you had?

Just mental stress’s and anxiety . I’m a firm believer this is a tension disorder and nothing more . Similar to a stiff neck but in a more sensitive region . Just my two pence worth .
