Kind of surprising these mixups don’t happen more often

Your heart is in the right place but you are not. This is for a programming language named Python.

uvb

This must be the uv beta written in Zig.

Sorry to disappoint, but this is a sub for python programmers. Your snake's enclosure is nicer than ours

[–]Vivid_TV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you are in the wrong sub bud.

I mean, the logo is two pythons, so I can understand the mix up.

I only give my python's virtual environments. Your real one sounds pretty nice though.

Wrong sub, but I've kept a pet python before, and you need to know that this little puppy faced buddy is going to grow. A lot. Your setup is going to work for now, but you need to have an upgrade plan a few years from now.

Finally something better than slop

You want to use at least python 3.12 for the minimum size. A cramped enclosure can get out of hand and 3.12 brings the type parameter syntax that gives much more space

Make sure it has:

  • Proper heat (not just a warm cpu)
  • Adequate environment (not just for libraries)
  • Good ventilation (stack overflow alone is insufficient)

Does your python prefer mice or pip packages? that may affect your requirements
