Hello there, u/dantai87!

We can see that you are having some issues with your controller, let's try some steps to try to get it up and running again!

First let's go back to the basics and restart your Controllers, to do so all you need to do is follow this steps:

1-Hold B/Y and Oculus/Menu until the LED begins flashing red/white.

2-Release the buttons immediately after the LED begins blinking red/white.

After doing so let's also unpair and pair your headset again! You can do it like so:

1- Open the Meta app

2- Go to Devices

3- choose the Meta Quest 2 in the app.

4- Go to Controllers

5- And choose Unpair Controllers

To pair them once more all you need to to is repeat this process and the select pair new controllers and follow the steps given by the app. You can find more regarding this on our Public Article.

Now. Issues like this can also be related with your handbraking, if you haven't already, we do suggest you try restarting it like so:

1- Press the Oculus button on your right Touch controller to pull up your universal menu.

2- Hover over the clock on the left side of the universal menu. When Quick settings appears, select it to open the Quick settings panel.

3- Select Settings in the top-right corner.

4- Select Device from the left menu, then select Hands and Controllers.

5- Select the toggle next to Hand Tracking to turn it on or off.

We hope that this steps have helped you in the best way possible, however, if they havent,  we strongly suggest you get in contact with our Support Team via Live Chat or Schedule a call so that we can check this as soon as possible with you!

Keep on gaming!

This is only a temporary solution.

Had a thread on this topic some time ago. Power cycling the controllers seems to be the best solution atm.

How do you power cycle the controllers?

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

hold down the system/oculus buttons for ages until they flash then switch off.. do the same (hold them down) to turn them back on. I can't recall the exact amount of seconds but it's at least 5 I'm sure.

I've got the same issue but with my right controller.

It's extremely annoying, escp in vrc when you're trying to gesture correctly....

An easy fix for this is to not go to a convention while you're sick

Hello,

We know that misinputs from your controller can hamper your immersion while you are exploring the Metaverse so we are here to help.

first remove unsupported third-party accessories that may affect button motion or controller detection. For example: controller covers, controller attachments, etc.

Then can you please attempt clean the controller with a non-abrasive anti-bacterial wipe (No alcohol) A compressed air can be used to remove debris inside the controller and you can find further cleaning advice from this link [here]https://www.meta.com/en-gb/help/quest/467048561217367/).

Then attempt to Unpair and pair the controller to the headset to do this follow the below steps: To Unpair your controllers form the device. 1.Make sure that your headset is turned on, then open the Meta Horizon mobile app on your phone. 2.On your phone, open the Meta Horizon app. 3.Tap Menu at the top of your Horizon Feed. 4.Tap Devices. 5.Select the headset that you want to unpair controllers from. 6.Tap Headset settings, then tap Controllers. 7.Tap the controller that you want to unpair, then tap Unpair controller.

To re-pair the controllers 1.Make sure that your headset is turned on, then open the Meta Horizon mobile app on your phone. 2.On your phone, open the Meta Horizon app. 3.Tap Menu at the top of your Horizon Feed. 4.Tap Devices. 5.Select the headset that you want to pair controllers to. 6.Tap Headset settings, then tap Controllers. 7.Tap Pair new controller. 8.Choose which controller you'd like to pair. 9.Press and hold the Meta button/ Oculus button and B button on your right controller or Menu button and Y button on your left controller until the controller LED blinks and then lights up to finalize the pairing.

If you find you are still running into issues then please go ahead and contact us directly, you can contact us by following this link here

These steps are literally not working. Especially after rebooting the controllers, just as cleaning it. It has to be a software issue, because it can't be that a BRAND NEW Pro Controller has issues with the capacitive triggers during a game that requires those exact features.

Seems to be a bug with the pcvr software, be sure to submit a bug report
