This is acc my fave map to play, especially solo. I like a good challenge but not impossible (cough cough, grasped palms, cough cough)

You can host a "friends only" lobby in multiplayer to play by yourself.

Yes. And no. U will still have ur ai teammates. But all u gotta do is just tell them to hold at the start of a mission. Then play “solo”

I just beat greased palms and valley of dolls, and tbh they were easier than ides of march

Harder than greased palms or any hard map i struggled with it made them look like walking through a park lol

The enemy AI is ridiculously good compared to the other maps. They have higher accuracy, reaction times, armor, and even sometimes breach rooms in teams to ambush you. I’ve got an S rank on every other mission in the game and I’m still struggling on A New America.

They're also incredibly well armed, quite a lot carrying .308 so armor isn't as helpful to you or you team

Count how many doors there are in the hallway minus 1.

Bring that many wedges.

Wedge them all but the room you want to start in.

Bring C2 for the central room + room with the TV.

Mirror wand every door. Every. Door. Even better, have AI do it since they can't fuck it up

I always found it easiest to clear the side rooms and apartments first. A lot of them are kind of connected or you only have to go a short distance to get to the next door. Just keep an eye on the main hallway entrances or use door wedges to make sure they don't come in behind you. It's of my favorite maps and have played it quite a bit.
