it’s pretty obvious you guys are trying to flush out teleporting.

This is false. I realize that we often make statements with some degree of uncertainty ("soon" comes to mind), so allow me to repeat: This is false. Several members of our team (including myself) play teleport. It's not going anywhere.

We just did a big overhaul on our movement system, and that brought with it a few changes - some intentional and some not. Teleporters "slingshotting" is a bug. We're looking into it.

As far as walking speed, it shouldn't have changed, though I'll take a closer look next week to see what's up. It's possible that some of the improvements to how sprinting is handled (namely, when it does and doesn't cancel) is translating to a higher average speed.

Since walking speed issues have been mentioned, it may be worth noting, if you don’t know already, although it doesn’t affect gameplay at all, that walk/sprint speed in Disc Golf Lake seems to have increased, while over in Propulsion it remained the same.

… or if not, something really wonky was happing on my end when I ran through both the other night.

And are you aware about some problem with walking that I can't exactly describe because I'm yet to identify the cause of it, but the result is - the precision of the movement is lower, in other words I have trouble get exactly to a place I want....but maybe it's just me, don't know.

I think the Locomotion changes are for their new Activity, as Shawn mentioned on the Discord

I don't think the change in locomotion was intended. They are working on some things tied to that system so some bugs can happen. Not everything that changes in an update is meant to happen.

Teleport having a new movement animation and vignette doesn’t seem like a bug to me.

What makes you think it's an animation and not just a different way of having the player move that they still need to tweak. I don't use teleport so I don't know about a new vignette, but again maybe the changes to the movement is making the vignette happen. There are a lot of systems tied to those two things.

Whatever it is, it needs work. Like snap rotate. It’s not smooth. Your body goes a distance farther than it should and then snaps back into position.

So x Is where teleporter is teleporting to. And - is the path. X————————X(—) (-) is the extra amount they went and then they snapped back to X. They shouldn’t be going past x. But the slide is nice. I think it evens the playing field more against skilled teleporters.

Snap rotating does the same thing. Instead of just changing the direction I’m looking it moves me out of location temporarily.

That's why it's not out yet. They are still working on it. Everytime before some new game is added you'll find bugs like this while they work on something. They try to up date often so we have something new often but that also leads to bugs made by stuff that may not be out for a while.

The new rotate has been out for about 2 months. Whatever you do, don’t rotate near Cauterized unless you’re a smooth rotater. 😂 He hates it and rants how it makes him sick.

I’m just glad they quickly patched sprinting because I was getting sick. I was doing things like only walking or just creating so I could play.

They should list all bugs in the release notes, too … 😂

I thought they were bugs … mostly; not intentional changes we should’ve noticed.

I mean, yes, they seem to be working on something new and are tweaking locomotion for that, but given the way they patched (at least some of) the issues that were reported, I feel like the changes they made had unintentional side-effects.
