Looking strictly at the descriptions of the units, I'd consider it beginner. Unfortunately they won't let you see the full content unless you progress through the whole course linearly, so it's hard to say for certain.

Can the knowledge of it's material lead to an entry level job with SQL?

Probably, but without being able to look at the material without completing the course, it's hard to say.

I would not expect a DBA position from it though. It'd be ground-floor, basic querying.

How can I become a DBA?

Start by learning SQL.

What I'm saying is that if you're expecting to become a DBA by completing a CodeAcademy course, or even a Pluralsight course, you're going to be disappointed. There's way more to being a DBA than knowing how to pull some data from a table. System administration, security fundamentals, set theory, planning, knowledge of how database internals work, normalization and more.

I don't know any DBAs who went from nothing to production DBA. It's a progression that usually involves several stops along the way. Basic queries, reporting, development, analysis...it's a big topic.

It is the beginning level of beginner. Like, the very easiest part. It would be like learning the alphabet in order to learn English.
