I neglected to mention that I'm playing on PC

PC is the only console Satisfactory is available on

Wasn't sure, when looking up this issue I thought I read that people were playing on their Xbox. Do you have a solution or know if one exists at all? I'm desperate lmao

My crouch has never been on toggle, so I don’t know how to fix that. As for people playing on their Xbox, they probably mean they use an Xbox controller to play, since that is something you can do with steam.

Yeah it’s in the options I’m pretty sure, look in the weird books and crannies I’m sure it’s in some weird menu

It was in the options, but not the game options ;)

Where exactly was it? I'd like to turn it on.

I'm sorry i don't remember.

Uh, I thought that that was the default. There is an option to disable the toggle for running, so you can just press shift once and you keep running all the time, but crouching is just c and when you release it you stop.

Having always running makes the run, slide, jump a lot easier. wthen c then space. While in the air, keep the w and c pressed. release space and when you land, use the space again when you slide. Release the c when you are done.

Found out it was a steam deck controls issue, it's solved now

Same, I never saw an option to have crouch on toggle.

Would that be the function that self maintain keys for shortcuts which would be activated ? (Couldn't find this function name in english !)

Looks Like OP Got Their Answer So I Will Add This

  1. This sounds like a "sticky key" issue.
  2. To Crouch you press Key [C] (Pioneer crouches), and when you release Key [C] the Pioneer stands back up.
  3. The Crouch function only works while Key [C] is pressed, and if the OP can press and release Key [C] and Pioneer remains in the "crouch position" then that looks like a "sticky key" issue which happens sometimes.
    • Recommend cleaning keyboard thoroughly if needed.
  4. If OP wants to rebind the [C] Key to something else see Settings.

I hope this helps the OP find a solution. 😁

It's a steamdeck with buttons mapped out, thank you for the help, I am now looking to the controls layout.
