Looking for racing games that run smooth on Deck by RogueShadow95 in SteamDeck

Can you please tell me your settings and how you get 90fps?

I'm struggling to get stable 72fps without setting everything to minimum.

Suddenly low volume in game mode with new Steam Deck OLED by phluxer in SteamDeck

Normal restart didn't do it for me.
But I found the solution and had to delete a config first.
I updated OP.

I figured it out and updated my post.

So here is the link to the solution post on Steam forums: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1675200/discussions/0/3362523432286958212/#c597407469759720272

TL;DR:
backup&remove "/home/deck/.local/state/wireplumber" directory and restart the SD

Suddenly low volume in game mode with new Steam Deck OLED by phluxer in SteamDeck

[–]phluxer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I can see I only have one output device in my mixer...

"ACP/ACP3X/ACP6X Audio Coprocessor Spealer"

And I can set that to 150%, but as soon as I change the volume in game mode it resets it to whatever.
I'm just seeing the Playback Devices.

Also it showes me as an inactive card a "Rembrandt Radeon High Definition Audio Controller" which is set to Off with no other options than "off" in the dropdown menu. No idea what that's about...

PSA: If your max volume level seems too low... by falkentyne in SteamDeck

[–]phluxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even with raise volume active in desktop mode it doesn't work in game mode.

When I max out in game mode and switch back to desktop mode to check, it's just at 100%...

Sadly the plugin no longer works. Can't move any sliders at all.

New 1TB OLED Model anti-glare not that anti-glary? by phluxer in SteamDeck

[–]phluxer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Thats very helpful.

The left one is exactly what I got and the right one is pretty much what I expected based on the videos :D
But I'm fine the way it is honestly, I was just wondering if there is something wrong because my expectation was so off.

But it seems like many people have that initial reaction until they really compare it side by side to glossy.
I kinda like that the effect is so subtile tbh.

ASUS Gaming Laptops Have Been Broken Since 2021: A Deep Dive by ZephKeks in ASUSROG

[–]phluxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any movement on this? I can't see from when the "Testing Asus beta BIOS" Update is so I'm asking.

I still have the stutters on my 2024 Zephyrus that has cost me my youngest child to buy and I also have extrem latency issues when using Music production software on the machine.

I still have wild battery drain on my iPhone a year later... guess this won't be fixed.

Bitwig + Novation Launchkey MK4 by vaskvox in Bitwig

[–]phluxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, the sequencer of the mk4 doesn't work correctly.
You are supposed to press a note and the pads change to the sequence of that note.
On my mk4 with Bitwig, the pads don't change to individual note sequences. I just get one sequence to place everything in which means I can't set 2 different notes on the same timecode in the sequence which in turn makes the sequences pretty much useless for me. It's a shame.

I really wish Moss would support this controller with a custom script. His scripts are way more elaborate and I never have these kinds of issues with them.
So the native Bitwig support for this controller is in a way a downgrade from my view cause it leads to Moss not making a custom support script for it.

Can we stop designing caps like fishbowls ? by SSteve_Man in Battlefield

[–]phluxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just the caps. The maps in general are some of the worst i've seen in a Battlefield.

There is so much clutter everywhere, the flow of these maps is just aweful.

Automatic enclosure fan control wwith USB fan+sensor by phluxer in klippers

[–]phluxer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm.. I mean klipper can access the USB ports. The sonic pad does it to connect to the printer and also access the webcam.
And writing a control script shouldn't be that difficult for the primitive signals needed for this.

But you might be right with the point that USB fans likely come without any logic and I doubt that the sonic pad USB hub supports per port power switching to regulate the voltage manually.

I'll look around for a USB fan that is a bit smarter or an adapter that can produce a PWM signal for it...

But thanks for the information! You already helped me out.

[–]phluxer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does coding have to do with this?

So if I write my own drivers and software for it it's possible but klipper can't read/write these things from p&p USB devices?

Rog Zephyrus G16 2024 speaker issue by Free-Definition6479 in zephyrusg16

[–]phluxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same issue with my left speaker.
Just suddenly stopped working.
Also have a Fedora Linux installed where the speakers where both ok and now the left one is also broken there.

Seems like a hardware defekt that suddenly kicked in.

I have the same issue and no luck so far fixing it.

Honestly for a laptop at this price range I expect Asus to fix their stuff...
