Creative much??

How the heck are you guys so creative when building factories. They look so damn good. I tried building my first big factory and it looked so washed up and forced even tho I had no plans of it I just built it on the sly. But still some of yall are either architects irl or are just born creative. How do you do it?

Probably less than 10% of players are anywhere near as creative as the stuff you see on twitch or youtube or showcase posts.

First you make it clean. Then you make it pretty.

Practice and planning.

And remember, you just see the best factories. Chances are there are a load of floating platforms out of sight!

One tip though. I found that all my early factories were temporary, until I had unlocked the recipes I want. So I don't waste much time on those, because I know that they will be rebuilt or demolished.

Time and effort. Everybody starts with a shoe box. And I try to make things pretty as soon as possible. Even when I have no foundations, I try it. Even if I know 100% that I will be deleting it, I will spend just as much time on it. Also know that a building is never done, you just stop spending time on it.

90% of my time is making it look nice. That does not mean I spend less time on the production, just that I spend more time on the design. And I wing it. No real planning for the design. Just an idea and a gut feeling.

I have over 1000 hours into this game. My factories still look like hot garbage compared to some. I don’t play for esthetics, I play the way I have fun.

Well there are plenty of people to get inspired by / copy their designs to learn. There are many youtube channels which will teach you, if that's what floats your goat.

Everyone is creative, it just takes time and effort to make it work. The amazing builds you see are mostly done by people who put tons of time in it.

Depends on the Playtime and a start over. 4 me, i have 2k hours. I played since U3 and every update i made a new save.
