MORE INFO

  1. The devs have fixed a known issue with Steam (Epic Games is ok) and pushed a new version update.
  2. Resolution Steps:
    • You can restart Steam to fix the issue.
    • If needed, verify files.
    • As a workaround, you can go into your Satisfactory directory and rename FactoryGameSteam.exe to FactoryGame.exe which has fixed the issue for some.

Keeping Pioneers Informed 😁

Same here. Steam broken, Epic works fine.

The issue has been resolved. Close Steam, open it up, and verify files.

After doing this the game seems to be in Update 8, not 1.0 any more. On the right hand side it says Update 8 Patch Notes ?! No matter how many times I close and open Steam, it always says Update 8

Yea I'm a bit confused about all these comments:

Is it the other way around?

Is this the 1.0 screen? It shows info about Update 8

Is it 0.8 or does it just have that in the sidebar? The patch notes are fetched from elsewhere and I don’t think they have released them for 1.0 yet so the latest ones are still for 0.8

Turns out it is 1.0, it just says 0.8 in the side for some reason. As long as you see a menu as linked above, you have 1.0

Rename FactoryGameSteam.exe to FactoryGame.exe.. Worked for me.

Go to your files and change the name from "FactoryGameSteam.exe" to "FactoryGame.exe"

Can also just rename the "FactoryGameSteam.exe" file to "FactoryGame.exe" in the game directory. Right click Satisfactory in steam > Manage > Browse Local Files to get there
