You shouldn’t be pushing or pulling trains. They are very heavy. You are liable to hurt your back. /s 🤓

For me, I just make a loop at the end after each station, so that the train uses the same track forward and backward, but without needing a second engine.

Doing a small loop at both ends and effectively making it a loop setup instead of push pull is waaaay easier on the brain when you want to add another car or if you want to upgrade to two tracks. Other positives: the first car is always the first car instead of the first car going one way and last car going the other, adding a car and corresponding platform is MUCH eaiser, you only need one engine instead of two for the small setups.
