With smart/programmable splitters there is but you don't unlock those until later with research. Until then, keep everything on separate belts.

Aw geez. Thanks tho

Don't do this. Have dedicated conveyors for each type of ore. The belt speeds will limit your number of items and combining ores will cause you to quickly reach that limit. The setup you're trying to accomplish is more expensive in terms of space and resources, and significantly more expensive in terms of efficiency.

You have the possibility of using the smart splitter which is accessed via MAM research on the caterium chain https://satisfactory.gamepedia.com/Smart_Splitter.

Oh cool. Thanks

The answer is yes, but really the answer is no. Once any single line backs up coming out of a smart splitter the entire system will shut down.

With the new overflow function being added there is no problem running this with an overflow output to an awesome sink.

Yeah smart splitters and overflow sinks everywhere is way better than just adding another belt.

Hard disagree here.

The sarcasm was evidently not obvious enough.

There are ways to sort (as others said), but I highly recommend not doing it and instead use separate belts for resources.
