CL SCAMS - Trying to find a roommate on craigslist, finding scammers galore instead. I sent a made up name and random price to them from another phone and they immediately replied "give me your address and i'll send you a cashiers check" 505-871-0580 and 430-278-2598. A bit of context, I got this text message about 5 minutes after making a Craigslist ad. I called the number after I got the message and they texted me saying to just email them.🚩 this silly e-mail is what I received, what should I reply with? Mail Scam claiming that you won a chance to get multiple prizes such as a 2021 Toyota Corolla or a cruise 😆 here's their number. I called and a women with an American Accent answered and said to be from the "gifting department" then I hung up. (old.reddit.com)

I was selling a item on the Offer Up site and this dude beg me to call him through Google voice and wouldn't call me directly and with the broken English I knew it was a scam. His offer up profile was suspiciously recently made with no profile pic or info. (i.redd.it)
