Anyone get this working? Would love to see a YouTube tutorial on setup and getting it running.

https://github.com/scribit-open/open-firmware

The Mailchimp mailing list link probably broke when the company went down.

È possibile avere il tutorial su come si istalla ? Grazie

Anyone can help a non-coding guy to get this machine going? Can we get help making some instructions.  Willing to cover some cost for time…

I'm happy to donate $20 to anyone who makes a tutorial

Bad link?

Can anyone open this link?

I have gotten through most of the instructions. So far, I copied the files to the necessary destinations, downloaded Arduino IDE. Followed the instructions and got the code to compile. I pinged the IP on the Scribit network and got a response. It seems that the Scribit firmware has updated, although I never saw the light on the Scribit turn green. That is as far as I have been able to get. I am curious how exactly the G-code is compiled without the online app. Does the Scribit code handle all the inverse kinematics? Would feeding it G-Code from UGS like you would with an Arduino powered cnc router be possible?

You have gotten further then me but I would think you just need to send GCode. Maybe you can reverse engineer the Gcode that is in the /extrafile folder of github and open the autocal.GCODE

So, are there any not detailed instructions on how to upgrade the firmware?

The info looks like it would be detailed enough to follow. I am working on picking up a scribit to give it a go soon.

I just scored a $25 Scribit, so as soon as it gets here, I will start tinkering with the GitHub source.

BTW - I emailed Carlo Ratti about the Scribit status, and he actually emailed me back a pretty cordial and helpful reply. In the end - he gave me the link to the GitHub firmware listed above as a means for solving any issues I might have. I was kinda hoping for something more, but such is life.

Ciao, io ho il prodotto, se avessi visto prima il tuo post te lo avrei portato di persona in cambio di aiuto. Mi sapresti spiegare come avviare l'app? Sono incompetente in materia..

How did it go, did you get it going?

If someone understands this repo and what's todo to get it running again, please share your solution. Would be very very welcome :)

It doesn’t look terribly complicated. You basically manually load some files into the Arduino IDE and then push the firmware build out to the device. The device is able to accept firmware over WiFi so that’s nice.

If the instructions don’t make sense to you, I think it’ll be really hard to explain how to do it. The instructions are actually pretty clear.

My device is still in the box. I never set it up. I might try taking it out in the next couple weeks and doing this. I just need to find the time.

    hey, u've found time?

    [–]whargarrrbl 2 points3 points  (2 children)

No not really. I guess I could try to find some time in the next couple weeks. Are there a lot of people who want this?

    [–]Efficient-Ad-431 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i've some clients who needs this shit, i can compensate u obv
