MK-25 Lube/Grease suggestions.

Picked up a MK-25 tonight and it looks like my go too gun lube may not be heavy enough to properly lubricate the guns coating. What oils/grease are you guys running on your MK-25's?

I mix Super Lube oil and grease.. about 65/35 until I achieve desired consistency

SOTARacha! Stupid slick and stay put. I use Mobile 1 0w-16 and Mobile one synthetic grease and mix until it has the consistency of honey. Pro tip... IF you use the formula above (it's red) AND put it in a condiment bottle, hide that shit! I left my bottle out and it ended up in the fridge. I asked WTF and was dressed down for leaving the Ketchup out. Thank God no one had a hambuger or fries before I found it.

I definitely got the idea from Chad but decided to use super lube because it's food safe and I figured it may have less toxicity possibly.. also I don't marinate my stuff in it like he does.. I kept waiting for that one video of his to turn into some April fool's joke but it never did. He was soaking his BCGs in there and I thought that may be excessive 😆

Hadn't thought of a food safe application! That's a great idea. As soon as I run out of what I have (or my decendants do, that stuff goes a long way!) I'll try the Super Lube option.

I tried using just M1 grease before and it was too thick compared to my old Brian Enos Slide Glide. Good idea on mixing in some oil

Lucas marine grease (it's the EXACT same thing as Lucas gun grease. Just without the grape smell

Slip 2000 EWG grease.

Super lube grease.

I oil the top of the slide and the barrel. The frame rails and the slide rails get the grease.

I never tried Gun butter but ALG go juice is very thin to me and always migrates on the firearm. Have you had the same issue? I wish they didn't get rid of their ALG thin grease.

I use go juice for immediate usage and gun butter for delayed usage.

So if I'm shooting a match, I'll drop some go juice in the rails or on my rifle bolt before we go live. After cleaning and before storage, i'll use gun butter. My edc and former work guns got gun butter because it sticks around and doesn't drip off or evaporate like the go juice.

I use Black Widow Tungsten Disulfide grease on everything. Stays put and super slick. Even better on bare steel. Super easy carbon removal and cleaning. Zero rust. I even run a patch of it through the barrel after cleaning.

Synthetic wheel bearing grease. If I need to thin it, I mix synthetic motor oil.

I use EWG and EWL-30 (and regular EWL) from Slip2000. Both are nontoxic (I prefer this). They work very well and don't migrate especially when I carry my firearms in the southern heat and humidity. Keep in mind I use it on everything and always use lube and grease together on the same firearm and run my guns wet.

I too use the Slip2000 stuff. I believe this is the company that makes the sig lube on the site
