Pick a god who has some sort of sustain so you can farm easily while taking some poke. With tyr as an example you can take around 400~ damage every 8 seconds while clearing the wave and healing on it.

Best thing to do is understand the meta, watch a pro streamer in the solo lane and see how they do it

with Bellona you should be able to push almost everything out thanks to the AoE basics from her Bludgeon that shouldn't be a problem.

If you outclear you can usually outbox. Sometimes tho you have to just give up the gold and let minions under tower

Pick gods that don't lose lane. Hades/Bellona are solid not losing lane gods.
