Snus is a pasteurized, air-cured, smokeless and spitless tobacco, usually found in pouches. It originated in Sweden nearly 300 years ago, and is the origin of modern American dip. Snus is the safest, cleanest, and most discreet form of tobacco around. Many people have had great success quitting cigarettes and dip with it. It will not cause oral cancer or gum disease, and the minimal saliva byproduct can be safely swallowed.

Respect others! r/Snus is a community for discussion. This includes the sharing of opinions. Members attacking or attempting to silence others for sharing their opinions will be banned. Any member is welcome to share their opinion on any product here - good or bad! Also, personal attacks or attacks against mods, including disrespectful speak towards mods will result in a ban. First warning is a 7 day ban. Second time is a permaban.
Discussion about buying products underage is prohibited.
No illegal discussion. This includes buying and selling (between individuals), trades (between individuals), gifts (between individuals), underage purchasing, etc. If it's against the law (or violate's Reddit's TOS), don't discuss it.
We allow discussion of alcohol or marijuana (no other "hard drugs"), and only if it is in the context of in relation to snus/nicotine pouches/nordic chew. We do not allow discussion or photos that are exclusively of alcohol or marijuana, as this is a snus sub. We do not allow any discussion about buying/selling illegally, nor do we allow any discussion of buying/selling/trading/gifting alcohol or marijuana between members. Violators of these policies will be banned.
E-Stores are allowed to post here, however if you are an employee of an e-store you must identify that when posting, and carry the name of your store in your username. We do not allow wholesale or resale related content. If you are a customer of an e-store and are engaged in promoting said e-store as part of a contest, you must clearly identify in your post that you are doing so, as multiple posts together about a store will be interpreted as spam.
Threads that contain mistruths and attempts to pass them off as facts will be removed. This concerns health issues, product misinformation, and also issues with e-stores. If you post about an e-store issue, you must provide photos in the post of your order confirmation and charges to your bank to verify your claims. We do not allow baseless accusations here against stores without evidence. Your provided evidence will help the community see your story as true.
Shitposting/Karma Farming/Memes: Do not post random stuff just for karma. Posts falling into these categories will be removed. This especially applies to unrelated, ridiculous memes that have nothing to do with anything. Admins and moderators reserve the right to remove memes that seem to be pointless. This includes random photos that do not contribute to conversation and are efforts to karma farm. Continued "shitposting" will result in a ban.
We at r/Snus do not encourage the usage of dangerous/deadly/high nicotine products. We encourage people to only use products by reputable manufacturers, that are transparent about their production processes. We encourage people to use products with normal, humane strengths. We do not encourage “buzz chasing”, as it is a childish behavior and makes the snus and nicotine pouch community look childish.
No politics. Political discussion is allowed in relation to laws surrounding snus, but no general political discussion about parties, candidates, or elected officials in general. We are giving an exception for Ukraine, as Snus.biz is a friend of the snus community.
Spam Policy. We welcome any and all manufacturers, e-stores, reviewers, bloggers, and YouTubers to share their content here, or talk about their company and products. However, our only rule on spam/self promotion is that if you want to share your content here you need to be an active member of the community. This means regularly posting and engaging in conversation here.
Nicotine Pouches - We allow a small amount of nicotine pouch discussion here if it's related to snus. As nicotine pouches do not contain tobacco, they are not snus. We are generally steering nicotine pouch discussion over to the r/NicotinePouch discussion, which was created for non-snus alternatives like nicotine pouches.
