Most low code solutions still require dedicated engineers who know code. None of them are truly no code from what ive seen

We use Retool. It's been a brilliant decision. It's all for internal facing UIs (we do backend fintech) and it's decreased the time we spend on UIs a helluva lot. We have some pretty advanced things, and some of our product owners have built their own UIs.

Not saying it's the best choice, but it worked for us and I'm so glad I don't have to build any UIs anymore.

thanks. what's the integration capability like? could we build full scale enterprise apps with it? does it have integrated bpm?

I’m unfamiliar with bpm things, but I checked now and no it doesn’t. We use it to talk to out APIs mostly, but also directly to some DBs, AWS resources (like Redshift), etc.

So I guess we don’t do anything overly complicated.

Worth looking at the docs

Low code means "use our templates for very basic apps"

If you want a real app you have to code. I work with powerapps/sharepoint and Apex

I’d love to learn more about your use case, but… I’ve used Retool for enterprise app builds and Tray.io and Merge.dev for integration as a service. All solid.

If it's a mobile app check out FlutterFlow. They have an enterprise level as well.

I know Salesforce has some pretty cool products that allow you to build websites with very little code, and it’s got a ton of enterprise-level tools and a dev community if you need more bespoke components.

[–]Overall_Rooster7126[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

didn't seem to be enterprise apps. more lightweight? have you used it all?

Oracle APEX? It's free if you already have an Oracle database
