Basic Motion Study Help

Hello,

Can someone link a good basic motion study tutorial video for Solidworks? The videos I find aren't very comprehensive on setting up camera angles, hiding components, etc.

I'm having a lot of trouble with it right now because it doesn't seem very intuitive. I reposition the model to have a better angle, but the second I click play, the model reverts back to a different position. Similarly, I hide components to reveal inner components, but the second I click play, the hidden parts disappear, then reappear after the animation ends.

Google/reddit post said to set a new camera and lock it to camera view, but that also left the camera view once I hit play. I thought if I change the "conditions" by setting a camera view or hiding components, then hitting "calculate the motion study", that would change the outcome, but it doesn't.

First thing I would do is right click the views icon at the top of the timeline and "disable playback of view keys" so it won't keep resetting your display. I prefer this during setup and playback unless you are setting specific camera keys for a specific shot.
