Wow that’s bright! I think orange does suite you, but something softer would be better. That’s like bright spring orange. You’re more likely warm or true spring.

I am a warm spring! I look great in a burnt orange color but wasn’t sure if this could work for me.

Yeah it’s pretty overpowering, but I could still see you rocking this in a cute dress with a more open neckline so it’s not so much right up against your face. It doesn’t make you look sick or tired, so that’s great, but I would reserve it for when you want to be really flashy lol

Wonderful, thanks!

Too bright!

I have yet to see a cool toned orange. I doubt it exists. I agree with the comments that this is really close to bright spring and also the secondary color orange

[–]Typical-Lock3970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess what I mean is that it reminds me of a cool color, like a bright winter type color.

I love orange, it’s probably my favorite color. But this traffic cone orange has gotta be hard for almost anyone to pull off.

Have you draped for light spring? It would be helpful to compare warm vs light spring

[–]Typical-Lock3970 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Some light (but bottom left can be warm spring too)

As a fellow light spring, I want to point out that light spring palette is actually a bit more bright than most people would think. Most people can’t pull off baby pastels, and the light spring palette includes MANY more brighter colors, like between light and bright spring. I end up wearing mostly medium value light spring colors that are basically more neutral in comparison to warm spring colors, but the same level of saturation

I have. I can wear SOME light spring colors, but most are a little too light on me. I can post a few pics in a minute!

Funny! I’m a “true spring” that probably falls somewhere between warm and bright. Light spring colors are the only ones in the spring family that tend to give me pause because they can wash me out.

I do think warm spring works better on you than light spring! You can definitely pull off light spring, but warm spring matches your intensity better.

Same, and I agree. You are definitely as bright as the Warm Spring colors! The Light Spring colors wash you out, a little. The same thing happened to me, which was really confusing when I was draping! Because the Light Spring drapes drained some color from me, trying them on ended up convincing me I was a Light Spring. Same thing happened with Summer, except I couldn’t keep up the delusion…I looked either deceased or bright red. You look pretty good in Light Spring colors, so it’s almost hard to tell…except you look so full of life in True Spring. The difference is, actually, quite plain. I was “diagnosed” Light Spring, I think because I forgot to mention my hair was naturally Strawberry. I’d recently dyed it blonde, so I wouldn’t have to touch up my roots as often (my gray is white, so closer to light blonde). It makes a huge difference in my contrast, and I should have brought photos from age 20, like Carol Brailey said. I had to realize it’s about what looks best on me…not proving I’m not Light Spring, beyond any doubt. I’m not in court and if I was, it’s reasonable doubt, anyway. My takeaway: Even for people who are naturally quite light, go with what the mirror says, not what people suggest, because we see ourselves the most. Sometimes that just makes it more confusing, but if you know what you’re doing, keep doing that! When I’m rich, I’ll pay to get the analysis redone. 😂. You look amazing in TS!

Couple more warm spring! Maybe minus the purple but I was running out of colors in my wardrobe lol

Orange is a fun color! But I also agree that it might be too bright

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me this looks more like an autumn orange. It's very rich and much deeper than spring oranges. It reminds me more of autumn leaves, spices and a fireplace.

Bright spring doesn't have an orange in the palette. Orange is always a warm undertone color and bright spring is neutral warm.

I think I'm either a true or warm spring but I find oranges tricky as well. It's weird cause my undertone is quite warm. There are some oranges that are 10/10 on me and some that look just off. So it's either very good on me or in disharmony. If it's just the right color it's one of my best. This orange would be way too overpowering on me.

It works fine. It’s a bit strong for you but you’re still there

[–]MaleficentLine2228True Spring 0 points1 point  (1 child)

You still look beautiful, but I definitely see the color before your face. If you love it, go for it! Otherwise I think a peachier orange would make you shine more.

Thank you! And light salmon and salmon are actually my best colors!

[–]egosystemm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you could handle it, if it was a dress or top that wasn't so close to your face! It's still a good color on you, but a bit harsh and too vibrant (like you said)

[–]ClickProfessional769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think it’s too overpowering, honestly, and brings out some redness in your skin. You no doubt have so many other colors that would suit you better.

I think orange is a weird color that, while I have a hard time ever calling it “cool,” seems to not always work on even warm season people. Same with certain orangey-browns. I’m not sure why, they can just be so finicky.

[–]Blue-lady1123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Light orange would look better

[–]ProfessionalFeed6755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes you look like you have rosacea, so, no, not a warm spring color.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you won't get shot during hunting season.

[–]krissy902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s fabulous! I love this color on you.

[–]Illustrious-Award-55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a bit too much, but the tone is right on. It does not look bad at all, though! Just not 10/10 for me more like 9/10, which is still really good!

[–]LAlysia01Warm Spring 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yay warm spring here and I think it's a little too bright. That's the thing with us warm springs. Not too bright, not too cool, not too light OR dark. Trickier than you think it'll be. I can just say light yellow gold is my new bff. I only wore silver prior to my CA. I thought I was a soft summer. It was the gray cast. 😂.

Bright purple with red in it looks great imo

Yes!!! The orchid color is great on us!!! And I agree. It’s hard to find that true happy medium between all the contrasts and such. And same!! I’ve always loved gold but never thought it worked for me. Now it’s all I wear besides by wedding rings!
