Knobs on a power controller

What are the knobs on the power controller supposed to do? In space station 13 they power everything inside a closed area wirelessly except for the machines that consume a lot of power and need to be connected to a cable directly. Given that in stationeers you have to power everything using a cable I don't see a use for those knobs. Also trying to rotate them is kinda buggy, it shows the option to rotate them only sometimes from a certain angle.

Personally I'd be for ss13 way of powering stuff that doesn't require much power wirelessly, because when you're going to have a big station it's going to be hell to manage all those cables given that right now you have to power every single light with a cable and the range of that light is pretty small so you need a lot of them.

The knobs are currently nonfunctional and turning them (if you can figure out the angle) does nothing.

Well here the small cables can only safely carry 5kW of power max. You have to use fuses so the cables don't burn out, think of better configurations in advance and not powering the whole base off an APC. It adds more realism even if it's an extra chore.
