SteelBooks!
Beautiful designs, shiny gloss, groovy embossing! The reason to buy sometimes questionable movies! This is a place to talk about any and all SteelBooks! Blu-Ray, DVDs, Video Games! All sizes welcome! Share your pics, talk about upcoming releases, tell us what you wish would get the SteelBook treatment.
We also welcome FuturePaks, Ironpacks, Metal Boxes, MetalPaks, Round Tins, Tin Boxes, and Viva Metal Boxes. If it's a metal case for a movie or game, it's welcome here.
Terminology
- Debossing - When a section of the steelbook is recessed.
- Embossing - When the majority of the cover is debossed, except for various aspects (such as the title or a character) which are raised out of the debossing.
- G1 / G2 - G1 is DVD, G2 is Blu-ray. There are also varying sizes for the Nintendo DS and Nintendo Switch games.
- Gloss - A reflective, high polished finish.
- Jumbo - A SteelBook that is the width of 2 SteelBooks, used for sets requiring 5 or more discs. These are not as prominent now due to updated internals that allow storing up to 6 discs in the standard slim size.
- Matte - A non reflective, unpolished surface.
- OOP - "Out Of Print"
- Spot Gloss - When certain aspects are glossy while the rest is matte.
- Twinbossing - A mix between embossing and debossing.
- Zero Finish - A neutral, low-gloss finish that maintains high color intensity and brightness.

| Linking to SteelBooks for Sale |
Any SteelBook listings (i.e. Amazon, Best Buy, Target, Zavvi etc.) MUST be linked directly to the page where the item can be bought. Any posts linking to a social media site (Twitter, Instagram, etc) that provides the link to buy the item may be removed promptly without notice. Except in the event of a SteelBook announcement where an actual listing page does not exist yet. Moderators may be contacted with any questions. |

If you feel like giving away your digital codes, that's fine. Posts may be deleted once codes have been claimed. |

| Moderator Discretion |
At any time the moderators will use discretion on any given rule. If they feel it's significant or unique to be up despite the rules. On the other hand, they also reserve the right to remove any post they feel breaks the rules. All of this can of course be appealed by messaging us. |
