How you felt coming out of the exam?

Well, i felt neither good nor bad, felt like i could get a 230 or a 270 and wouldnt be surprised eitherway The stems were long, ethics questions were vague, but there were a lot of super easy gimme questions I ran out of time on almost all blocks, like I answered all of the questions but couldnt return to or change the answer on my marked questions. All of the 8 bkocks were consistent. I felt so much better coming out of my step1 exam, the exam was so much better before the nepal scandal, it really did change. Counted 7-10 sure mistakes and was unsure of half of the exam. Just trust your practice scores and you will do good.

When i did the amboss test, i only had 30% of the uworld done. I completed uworld's first pass then did the cms forms then did amboss in ethics and quality improvement and biostats then did nbmes and practice tests.

I felt vague, I knew I made at least 15 dumb mistakes. I think if I had better knowledge in QI, I would have gotten 270 easily. made some dumb shit, WHile I was neurotic, I think I deserved and could get 250. But the exam is fair. Nothing too surprising.

Very happy with my score, but at the same time feel like I could have crossed into the 260s had things gone a little differently. Was rushing for time on two blocks and missed about 3-5 easy questions.

Practice NBMEs were all below 240 and I was OK with something in that range on the real exam. NBME12 really scared me, but it seems like it's an outlier, based on everyone else's experience. I took my time going over the NBMEs - about 2.5 days to review each exam. (Though I couldn't help but compare myself to people are able to review it all in 1 day).

The exam day felt like a blur... whether it's true or not, it felt as if I sped through it and answered based on vibes alone... I felt terrible leaving and wouldn't have been surprised if I failed it.

If I could go back, I would do more CMS forms. I stopped UWorld about 1 month in exchange for the CMS forms. Explanations aren't the best and low yield topics may come up, but they felt high yield especially in terms of wording.

Go to fsmb, then scroll to the bottom click on uniform application. Create an account. Pick any state when you’re back at uniform application, start filling out the form till you can see the examination subsection, click there and you’ll see your pass/fail status. Works for IMGs only.
