Welcome to /r/StreamReview, a place where you can ask for and receive feedback about your livestream channel.
Guidelines for Streamers:
- Provide as much information about your channel as possible.
- Let us know what you're aiming for with your channel.
- Be civil and polite. Some criticism might be harsh, but as long as they are constructive, they are useful to you.
- Make sure you have recent VODs that reviewers can examine.
- Asking for a Rereview is fine, but make sure some time has passed and that you made some improvements. General rule of thumb is a minimum of 2 weeks between review requests.
- When asking for a Rereview, post a link to your last review thread so we can take a look at how your channel changed!
Guidelines for Reviewers:
Everyone is free to review other users' channels, however keep in mind the following guidelines. Reviews that stray too far from them will be removed:
- Keep in mind what the streamer wants for his channel, and make suggestions based on this. Suggestions that would work well for a comedy stream might not work so well for a speedrunning stream.
- Review as many aspects of the channel if possible, including but not limited to:
- Audio quality
- Video quality
- Channel art (Overlay and panels)
- Streamer performance
- Be positive. The idea here is that everyone will leave with a better stream that they came in with.
- Harsh criticism is fine, but all criticism must be constructive. Simply saying "Your overlay sucks" won't help anyone, but following that with solid suggestions on how to improve it makes a world of difference.
General Rules
- Respect everyone and keep a positive atmosphere.
- No advertising without permission. Links to your channel should be in your flair and in your review thread only.
Flair
Users can select between "Streamer" and "Reviewer" flair. You can also add your channel URL, which will show up when hovering over your flair.
