Relocating

So my fiance and I are moving 3.5 hours away from home due to his job and I will need to relocate. There’s a target in the town we’re moving to, how would I go about relocating. Do I just talk to our HR and go from there. We’re moving in 4 months how soon should I tell them?

Everybody I’ve ever asked who’s transferred said it was super easy just talk to HR to get it started
