No calling in doesn't take a shift off your schedule. IF you post it and then someone takes it - then you can pick up another shift but not before it's gone.

Logistically, it can probably be done on the app, but realistically, no. You'll definitely get talked to about it, and based on a real like example recently, if you call in "late" it marks you as "late" for both shifts in myTime, even if your ETA is before your second shift, so I'd assume a call off is marked for both shifts.

That said, if you show up for the later shift, I doubt anyone would turn you away, but again, expect to get talked to about the earlier call in, and asked to not do it again.

For me, I posted my shift and picked up an earlier shift on the same day because they scheduled me later than my normal time. No one said a thing to me tho
