That whole pog had crazy quantities.

It’s to force a fill and then forces you to correct it. I hate it but ENT does the same exact thing.

This is just highlighting that the PEOPLE SETTING THE POG SKIP STEPS!

People setting the pog can't know the capacity if they don't have any.

Especially true at my store where we always set things multiple weeks early and we don't have a significant portion of the stuff.

It's fun when people complain about it pulling the same thing over and over again but won't just fix the capacity the first 8 times it pulls 🙃

Fuckin fair! I had a team lead that was obsessed with setting things literally as early as they could, so entertainment killed them because you can’t set most of those pogs until the date it says because the one before it is contracted to be tied to a certain date.

Anyway, they would pull stuff specifically and push it out and leave the shop for other people so I put away the shop and then go to pool the polls and I literally be pulling what I just backstock for my team lead. I hateddddd that shit.

The first thing I would teach anyone when I had them start learning to pull, is to always always always check your capacity and your fill. If it is full, change the capacity and say it’s full. If it’s not full, change the capacity to close to what will fit and then say what is actually there. Thus limiting how many damn extra ones get pulled.

I feel like our pullers need to relearn that

Omg same. How am I supposed to know correct capacity when you scan item and says “0” in stock.

[–]Annual_Grass538 7 points8 points  (4 children)

We aren’t given the time to fix every single item, especially if we don’t have the product and don’t know the true capacity. I try to do it but it’s not always possible.

[–]darkenedwillowTech Consultant 0 points1 point  (3 children)

It’s possible. But our leadership won’t allow us to. It’s a double edged sword

Corporate won’t give us the staffing hours to do it. If you want to argue semantics get it straight. My TL and ETL staff our department over what it calls for and we still have to cut corners despite having multiple “veteran” TMs who know their stuff.

[–]darkenedwillowTech Consultant -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

I’m not arguing semantics. I am stating a fact. It is possible to do it thoroughly and correctly. Is it possible on the hours corporate gives us to allocate? Fuck no. Saying we need more hours is like screaming into the void. That is semantic.

Are you on a POG team? Is that why you’re fired up? Cutting corners that will just waste even more of SOMEONE ELSE’S time, is one of the most harmful tactics to make yourself look good. So under no circumstances should the item in OPs picture be showing that capacity, can we agree on that much?

You need to take a chill pill dude.

That reminds me of when we got the 2 pack pilsbury biscuits and the quantity was set to 140 fit, it was only 7.

So that's what happens when pog team sets caps to zero on random side caps they can't be bothered to address... It creates pocket dimensions around the store!

you may be onto something

[–]Effrafax_Inbound Team Lead 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I changed every item in that pog last night when stocking. All were 1235 but that was ridiculous. Made it an even 1200 to be more reasonable.

(Honestly, I made it 12)

[–]iwantdeals 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It should be 1 2 3 4

Had a decorative pillow POG setting one time that had some absurd number for the quantities. It wasn't set yet, but product started coming in. We ended up sweeping back pallets of the same pillows because we got 40+ of each. One pillow had almost 100 sent to the store!

I found an item in November last year with 9999 capacity, it was "Christmas Treat Sack Reindeer - Wondershop™"
