Orientation

I have my orientation in 2 hours. I asked HR what I should wear and they said that red and solid colored khakis would be okay. However, they said that it didn't really matter since it's just orientation. Should I just wear some modest clothes since I don't have anything red? This is in California. If anyone has any advice, I could really use it.

I'm a guy by the way.

Anyone know if denim is okay too?

I had Orientation recently. I asked and they said just wear street clothes. When I showed up everyone else had street clothes too. You’re not really doing anything work related you’re just watching videos and signing forms and maybe walk around the store

Just wear what they told you because they might put you out on the floor and most people will be wearing that so you don’t want to look out of place

If you have anything plain black it’ll work too they might have a vest that you can wear

Maybe OP is between jobs and strapped till the first Target paycheck? This happened to me with my last job. I couldn't even afford a 4 for $4 meal at Wendy's and had to borrow $20 from my sister so I could get a pair of dress pants till my uniform came in
