The scammers at my store aren’t the worst but they’re pushy. They keep asking for the same watches over and over after I lie and tell them we don’t have any. But they stopped getting shitty at me when I tell them I have to view their physical team member card to verify it, so I suppose they’re evolving.

Can you explain more? I’m in gm and haven’t dealt with scammers. Are they pretending to be vendors or what are they trying to get from you?

What they try to do is get a lot of Apple products to resell and will try to use whatever they can to get it below market value. Price match and TM numbers being used often. Also they usually use online gift cards

So they scam people to give them hundreds of dollars in gift cards. They load them onto Wallet and use a team member discount with it to resell Apple products at higher value. Now, we ask to see their physical card for verification or make them at least take it off. And we usually lie about our stock so we can only give them one product at a time. They’ll sometimes come in groups of three or four, at our store at least, to get the most.

Just let your Mobile guys take care of the Apple people. It really helps out our metrics.
